BSBSUS401 Implement and monitor environmentally sustainable work practices

This unit offers the skills and knowledge required to effectively analyse the workplace in relation to environmentally sustainable work practices and to implement improvements and monitor their effectiveness. It applies to individuals with responsibility for a specific area of work or who lead a work group or team and addresses the knowledge, processes and techniques necessary to implement and monitor environmentally sustainable work practices, including the development of processes and tools.

BSBWOR404 Develop work priorities

This unit offers the skills and knowledge required to monitor and obtain feedback on own work performance and access learning opportunities for professional development. This unit applies to individuals who are required to design their own work schedules and work plans and to establish priorities for their work. They will typically hold some responsibilities for the work of others and have some autonomy in relation to their own role.

BSBWHS401 Implement and monitor WHS policies and programs to meet legislative requirements

This unit offers the skills and knowledge required to implement and monitor and organisation's work health and safety (WHS) policies, procedures and programs in the relevant work area in order to meet legislative requirements. It applies to individuals with supervisory responsibilities for implementing and monitoring the organisation's WHS policies, procedures and programs in a work area. These individuals have a broad knowledge of WHS policies and contribute well developed skills in creating solutions to unpredictable problems through analysis and evaluation of information from a variety of sources. They provide supervision and guidance to others and have limited responsibility for the output of others.

BSBWOR502 Lead and manage team effectiveness

This unit offers the skills and knowledge required to lead teams in the workplace and to actively engage with the management of the organisation. It applies to individuals working at a managerial level who facilitate work teams and build a positive culture within their work teams. At this level, work will normally be carried out using complex and diverse methods and procedures requiring the exercise of considerable discretion and judgement, using a range of problem solving and decision making strategies.

This unit offers the skills and knowledge required to apply, monitor and report on compliance systems. This unit is appropriate for those working in a supervisory role where compliance needs to be managed.

This unit offers the skills and knowledge required to apply risk management processes. This unit applies to individuals who contribute to applying risk management processes as part of their responsibilities. This could be an employer, line manager, supervisor, safety representative or employee. This unit applies to those who carry out or assist in carrying out risk assessment in the workplace.
