About Us

MINRES Training Institute specialises particularly, but not exclusively in two similarly different fields of expertise.

We've a Director and Training Coordinator who is a Certified Practicing Quarry Manager with over 30 years experience in the mineral and hard rock quarry industries. David runs the Anderleigh Quarry north of Gympie and implements his Learn Operate Survive Program with a no-nonsense attitude and a Zero Harm Zero Tolerance commitment to mining safely and responsibly.

Our other Director is a Master Jeweller with more than 20 years experience manufacturing and hand making fine jewellery.

While working in close consultation with our clients in both sectors, our core business is to provide continual improvement qualifying individuals with a broad range of knowledge and skills to undertake work as a pathway for future learning. We do this by designing accredited training programs to enable graduates to demonstrate learning outcomes expressed as the application of knowledge and the demonstration of skills. We take pride in the delivery of every certificate we issue, ensuring that all our programs are current and bench-marked to the highest standards.

Regardless of the size or type of an industry or business, training can have a measurable impact on performance and the bottom line. Research shows that productivity increases when training occurs. Staff who receive formal training can be twice as effective as untrained colleagues working in the same role. Training focuses on key elements of good business practice in safety, productivity, inter staff communication, staff retention, use of technology and the enhancement of your business reputation.

Our trainers and assessors are experienced in customising training to suit your business needs. Your investment in the training of your staff will add to their knowledge, skills, confidence and job satisfaction. If you're looking to enter the mining industry, choose from courses in Resources and Infrastructure, Surface Extraction, Civil Construction and Underground Metalliferous.

MINRES Training Institute also offer courses in Jewellery Manufacture, from Certificate II up to Advanced Diploma.
